In 2006, a management buyout gave Crompton Lamps a fresh start. Relocating to Bradford, we re-established ourselves as an independent company with a focus on growth, innovation, and serving the trade.

Foundation by Colonel R.E.B. Crompton
Founded by Colonel R.E.B. Crompton, pioneering some of the earliest electric lighting installations at Windsor Castle and Holyrood Palace.

Formation of Crompton Parkinson
Colonel Crompton partnered with Frank Parkinson to form Crompton Parkinson, expanding into industrial electrical manufacturing.

Acquisition by Hawker Siddeley
Integrated into the aerospace conglomerate, expanding reach and capabilities.

Acquisition by Cooper Industries
Joined a leading global manufacturer, broadening market presence under Cooper Lighting & Security Ltd.

Management Buyout and Relocation
Crompton Lamps Ltd acquired by its management and relocated to Bradford, re-establishing as an independent entity focused on growth and innovation.
